Great events from March to October in our area to enjoy  . . . .

Jacobite Steam Train.  Also now known as the ‘Harry Potter’ Train it runs from Fort William to Mallaig and back.  If you don’t take the train, there are many scenic spots to stop and watch as this famous train passes by, the most iconic is over the Glenfinnan Viaduct which can be combined with a walk, cycle, a look round the Station Museum or afternoon tea in The Dining Car.  2018 service from Easter to 26th October.
Island and Wildlife Cruises on the MV Shearwater from Arisaig Marine.  Sailings start again the end of April 2018
Loch Shiel Festival. Scotland’s most picturesque chamber music festival takes part in scenic locations including Loch Shiel, Glen Uig and Glenborrodale.  19th to 23rd April.  For more information/tickets go to website.

Wild Lochaber week – A week of events take place in Lochaber area celebrating the great outdoors.
Scottish Six Day Trials – Monday 7th to Saturday 12th May 2018.  An internationally recognised Motorcycle trials competition, which has been running since 1909 making it the oldest motorcycle trials event in the world. Based in Fort William with routes around Lochaber.
Road to the Isles Half Marathon – Saturday 12th May.  Half Marathon, 10k, 5k or a ‘walk on the wild side’.  This event takes you along stunning scenery on the Road to the Isles.  To take part and/or more information go to website.

 Isle of Muck Open Day.  Take the MV Shearwater out from Arisaig and enjoy a great day on this beautiful island.

Mallaig Maritime Day – Date to be confirmed.  
A variety of events for all the family.
Last Wednesday of July – The Arisaig Highland Games.

The Highland Games take place every Summer in  locations with fantastic scenery and history including . . . . . Traigh beach, White Sands of Morar, The Glenfinnan Monument, Loch Shiel and Glenfinnan Viaduct.

Other events include the Fishermans’ Mission Gala Day and Mallaig Fish Festival . . . Also, there are local Guided Ranger Walks in our area from April to September, a local Produce Fair held in Astley Hall, Arisaig  and music in various locations.  Posters up on site with dates for food and cultural events throughout the season.
